Portrait Photography in Philadelphia of Jimmy Dennis

Of the many subjects photographed, Jimmy Dennis has one of the most incredible stories. He is a survivor of Death Row and spent twenty-five years in prison for a crime that he did not commit. Today, Jimmy is a musician, but still deals with the repercussions of losing his dreams at a young age.

His story is discussed by Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin in her editorial for Womenz Straight Talk magazine.

Creative Process

Oftentimes in portrait photography there are moments where photographers let them naturally unfold. The subject has an opportunity to convey their story through their own actions and expressions. Jimmy Dennis’ life experience and ambition are on full display during this photoshoot.
