Description
On the evening of September 27, 2015, a rare Supermoon rose over the shores of Cape May, New Jersey, appearing larger and brighter than at any point in its lunar cycle. Photographer Phil Kramer captured this moment when the moon lifted above the Atlantic Ocean against the twilight sky.
The scene’s scale becomes strikingly clear as two distant figures stand at the water’s edge, dwarfed by the rising moon above them. It feels serene, surreal and profoundly human all at once.
